The ol' switcheroo!

June 18, 2008

Hey,

I've got a question for you.

When was the last time you switched things up a bit with
your training?

Are you still following the same program you were back in
high school? The same sets, reps and body part split, week
in and week out??

Now I'm not trying to say that you should be switching
things around all the time. (there are folks that suffer
from the opposite problem, where they try the latest
greatest program, only until a new one comes out in the
next issue of their favourite magazine)

Both approaches can leave you lacking the results you seek.

What I am trying to suggest is a slight mix-up or tweak.
Or maybe just adding one "black sheep" work-out into your
regular split.

For example: Mix-up the order that you train during the
week, Switch the order of the exercises within the session.
You can keep your old favourites, (especially if they are
giving results. If it ain't broke, don't fix it) just mix
the order a bit to keep your body guessing and keep the fat
loss humming along.

Another one of my favourites is to add the "black sheep"
work-out. Pick one day each week and do something totally
off the wall. (boot camp, or our outdoor athletic session
comes to mind) Just a full body, fat blasting work-out.
Using complexes and supersets all the way through.

I want to see you getting rid of the winter "coat" or
"layer" that you may have accumulated and get ready for the
beach.

If you haven't seen or already gotten yourself one of our
new T-SHIRTS, you better get on it. These shirts are kick
a$$ and selling fast.
Look good, in and out of the gym, and show everyone where
you get it done. (at Ultimate Fitness, of course)

I also want to let you know how excited I am to be heading
up to Sault Ste. Marie next week to compete in the Ontarios
strongest Man competition. This was to be the highlight of
the competitive season. But.....
I've been nominated to represent ontario at the Canadian
Light weight Nationals as well. In August I will be
travelling to Vicoria BC to try and become Canada's
Strongest Man 105kg. (231lbs and under)

Sarah will also be travelling with me to the Sault (as she
is my #1 support staff) on the weekend of June 28th and
29th.
THERE WILL BE NO BOOT CAMP ON SATURDAY JUNE 28TH.
TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

WE WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY JUNE 30TH, BUT WILL BE OPEN FOR
REGULAR HOURS ON TUESDAY JULY 1ST.

Okay, enough of the cap lock (shouting), you get the point.

Keep kicking a$$ in the gym.
